Take a step back in time and instill a sense of history onto the front of your home or office with the Traditional Door Knocker from Brass Accents. Based on the colonial-style door knocker that first appeared in the 1600s on Federal and Colonial homes, churches and other buildings throughout the country, these unique door knockers dress up any entryway while retaining a sense of subtle style.
Handmade by pressing hot extruded rods into design dies, the Traditional Door Knocker is then tooled, chased and polished to create the detail and luxurious luster you can only get through solid brass. Available with the option to engrave up to nine characters on the front plate, these personalized door knockers come in 6 1/2 inch and 8 inch models.
Available in Standard and Large models:
- The standard version of the Traditional Door Knocker measures 6 inches tall by 3 inches wide. From center to center the door knocker measures 3 15/16 with a projection of 1 1/8 inches.
- The large version of the Traditional Door Knocker measures 8 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide. From center to center the door knocker measures 4 1/2 inches with a projection of 1 3/8 inches.
Don't forget to select a finish and size option in the drop down menu. Finish options are: Polished Brass (as shown), Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel, Pewter/Antique Nickel, and Weathered Black. Please note that the Pewter and Antique Nickel are identical finishes.
Also, this brass door knocker can be customized for an additional cost with optional engraving. Please select if you want engraving and fill in the First Line space with up to 9 characters to customize the door knocker. Engraving is available on finishes: polished brass, antique brass and satin nickel.
