Tracing its roots back to the Victorian era, these unique door knockers originate in a time when gothic themes, including gargoyles, lions and mythological figures, were extremely popular. This theme is faithfully reproduced in this decorative door knocker, handcrafted from molten brass by pouring it into a sand mold where it's formed, cooled and then carefully scrutinized for exacting quality.
In addition, it remains even further true to the original by incorporating nearly four pounds of solid brass into the design! Unlike anything of its kind, the King Neptune Door Knocker measures 5 7/8 inches wide with a plate width that measures 3 5/16 inches.
